Radio Delmare - Technical

Transmitters

2 x 3kW Marconi transmitters (ex Belgian Army)  used on Aegir and Aegir II.

Transmitter power used only  about 650 watts due to damage during installation

Aerials

T-type aerial system used on both ships, approximately  39’ (12m) high and 420’ (128m) long

2 x Revox A77 reel to reel tape recorders

4  x FTM Spotmasters

2 x  Thorens turntables

2 x AKG microphones

a mixer with multi channels

Aegir II -

A home built mixing desk (built by Imke Roos, an ex-RNI technician)

 FTM jingle machines (later replaced by normal cassettes using Marantz recorders)

2 x Sony tape recorders to playback the pre-recorded programmes.

QSL Card

Radio station engineering departments issue QSL cards to verify reception reports received from listeners
