Transmitters

3 Continental Electronics transmitters (2 x 10kW 316F medium wave and 1 x 35kW FM stereo)

The reserve frequencies – tuned to 214m medium wave and 93MHz FM – were to be available for hire by other stations – one of which was planned to be Radio Monique.

Aerial Height

Planned  to be 287’ (87.5m),  but during the voyage from Ireland the top 157 ‘ (48m) of the mast collapsed leaving 130’ (40m) behind

There were 2 fully equipped broadcasting studios on board.
